Anthropologie Inspired Girl's Room

Hello friends! I've been traveling quite a bit lately and haven't blogged for awhile.  I have so many things to share with you - but first...let's start with the revamp that we did in my daughter's bedroom.  Since she's in college and only home for a few breaks, I wanted her bedroom to be comfortable and stylish for when she is home.

I asked her what her favorite style is and she said anything that looks like Anthropologie.  That means...boho mixed with mid-mod mixed with cottage mixed with glam.  Hmm....so much to consider and dream about! Who doesn't love Anthropologie?! This was our inspiration picture:

And, here's what we have to work with.....

Pretty much a blank slate...which is good! Here is the color palette that she wanted:

White, Blush pink, gold and light gray

Here's where we started:

1.  Bed

She already had this IKEA metal bed and we found a white quilt (from Homegoods). We layered the quilt over a down comforter and added pillows that brought in her colors.

2.  Added Textiles: curtains, blankets and rug

Next, we hung curtains (from Marshall's).  They were sheer with a bit of gold so we thought they would be perfect in here. We also found a white fur rug at Ross store.

3.  Added a Desk

(along with a chair and accessories)

We found a desk that we thought was similar to this Anthropologie one.  It was a dark brown so I primed it and painted it @Sherwin Williams Colonnade Gray. We then styled the desk with gold and pink accents.  I love using twigs and books when I decorate so these were added as well. Look how cute the side of the desk is...perfect for hanging an Anthro magazine!

4.  Added a mirror (found at Target)

We're still on the look-out for a large vintage mirror that will give it the look that my daughter's wanting, but for now...this Target mirror will have to do!

5.  Added other wall accessories

We found these gold and pink paper fans (again at Marshall's) and secured them to the wall using double-sided tape.  We also put up her jewelry board (from Hobby Lobby) behind her door and a canvas picture above her bed.

Final Reveal:

Thanks for stopping by, sweet friends!
